Type 5 Muga Pitch – Buckinghamshire
This FIFA rated, 3G artificial grass Type 5 MUGA pitch is part of a contract won by Prestige Civil Engineering to build the new Sir Thomas Fremantle School in Winslow, Buckinghamshire.
A Domo 40mm carpet was laid on a 10mm shockpad over an engineered base designed for football and hockey. Zaun’s Duo8, twin wire, continuous panel, rebound sports fencing with overhead netting was used to minimise injury risk to players and to provide a low maintenance option. Challenger sports lighting was installed.
A second MUGA pitch was installed to create high specification surface. This was a Type 1 surface using an engineered base, designed for tennis.
